Sod is the easy part. What determines whether it thrives is what happens first: rough grade, soil amendment, final grade smoothed to drain away from the house, and irrigation tested before a single roll goes down.
We install fresh-cut sod, roll it in for soil contact, and hand off a watering schedule for the critical first three weeks while it roots.

Light foot traffic after about two weeks. Normal use around three to four weeks, once it has rooted and you can no longer lift a corner.
Heavy and frequent for the first two weeks, then tapering. We leave you a specific schedule, and it is the single biggest factor in whether new sod takes.
Sod gives you an instant, usable lawn and is far more reliable in Utah wind and heat. Seed is cheaper but slower and easier to lose.
Spring and fall are ideal. Summer installs work fine with diligent watering. We install through most of the season.
